Machine Care 101: Husqvarna Viking® ONYX™ & EMERALD™Updated a year ago

Do you see fuzz on the back of your fabric when you sew? Does your bobbin thread constantly get knotted up? Your machine may need to be cleaned! It's important to deep clean your machine in between each project to keep it running like new. Here's how to do a quick machine tune-up at home.

1. Gather your tools. For this you will need the brush & screwdriver from your accessories, fresh needles, a soft cloth, and we recommend a small vacuum attachment set.
2. Start by removing the needle from your machine.
3. Remove the bobbin & stitch plate according to your machine instructions.

4. Remove the bobbin case and dust out the area with your brush. For a deeper clean of the area, you can use a small vacuum accessory tool.

5. Wipe down the machine with a soft cloth

6. Reinsert the bobbin case and replace the stitch plate according to your machine instructions.

7. Put in the bobbin again.

8. Insert a new needle

9. Thread your machine & Test Sew
